Despite innovation in other types of databases, relational databases are essential components of most financial services applications. This talk will answer the question: how can developers deliver the performance, scale, and resiliency of relational databases while also taking advantage of modern application architecture and development practices. Particular attention will be given to financial services use cases for Amazon Aurora, a MySQL and PostgreSQL-compatible relational database built for the cloud.
